Interesting site of the week: The Art of Manliness

>> Monday, 15 September 2008

Every week I'll do my best to share with you one of my favourite new sites that has managed to find it's way into my rss aggregator. They may not be on a topic related to anything contained within this blog but I'm hoping that they will appeal nonetheless to my adoring readership (current total: 0 people).

Without further ado I'll introduce to my first 'site of the week': The Art of Manliness.

The Art of Manliness [] describes itself as

a blog dedicated to uncovering the lost art of being a man.
The Art of Manliness is authored by husband and wife team, Brett and Kate McKay. It features articles on helping men be better husbands, better fathers, and better men. In our search to uncover the lost art of manliness, we’ll look to the past to find examples of manliness in action. We’ll analyze the lives of great men who knew what it meant to “man up” and hopefully learn from them. Every week we seek to uncover the essential skills and knowledge today’s man needs to know.
Sounds good to me... It is however an American site so some of it may be lost in translation when applied to British manly men like myself but any site that aims to help men better themselves without losing their identity to advertisers who seem to want to push only a androgynous uni-sex ideal on men & women alike to double the target audiences for all the products they try to hock us is alright by me.
